MLS Fantasy Manager: Week Three

New, 2 comments

The Hoops head to Philadelphia for their first road test of the year.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

It's the third week of MLS Fantasy Manager 2015. Let's get started. Lineups lock Friday at 6:00 pm CT!

FC Dallas

FCD will be on the road for the first time this year. Philadelphia was an inconsistent team last year. This year, they've drawn twice. Once at home against Colorado Rapids, and once on the road against Real Salt Lake. FCD players will look to continue their hot start in fantasy.

Here's some guys to think about adding:

Blas Perez $9.3 - Perez is sitting on 20 fantasy points after two games, only behind Clint Dempsey for the leading point-getter. They are also both tied for the lead in goals this season with three. Perez is on fire. I'd stay with him until he cools down.

Zach Loyd $7.6 - Loyd is one of the cheaper center back options in fantasy manager. With Matt hedges next to him, he gets a decent amount of points.

Fabian Castillo $9.7 - Castillo had a pretty quiet game after his quick start. However, he did get a goal. Even when Castillo isn't playing great or getting much time on the ball, he is always a danger to score. Philly is in some trouble.

MLS

Columbus Crew SC, Real Salt Lake, Seattle Sounders, and Toronto FC all have byes this week.

Here's some guys to think about adding:

Gyasi Zardes (LA) $9.5 - Los Angeles Galaxy will be back at home this weekend as they take on Houston. They are very good at home. Well, they're very good everywhere. But, especially at home. Zardes and Robbie Keane will tear Houston apart.

Chris Wondolowski (SJ) $10.7 - San Jose shocked the MLS and beat Seattle on the road last weekend. Wondo added two goals in the win. This weekend is their home opener, in their new stadium, with their new coach. The place will be buzzing. Wondo might tally one or two goals.

Lee Nguyen (NE) $11.0 - Nguyen returned to action last week. He didn't contribute that much. But, New England plays at home against a Montreal Impact side coming off CONCACAF Champions League action in the midweek. Hopefully Nguyen will look a lot like the MVP candidate Nguyen we saw last season.

Ronald Zubar (NYRB) $7.5 - The Red Bulls return from a bye week to take on D.C. United, who are also coming off a bye week. DC will have problems scoring this year. But, they do have stellar defense. NYRB should be able to slow down an already slow DC attack.

Ike Opara (SKC) $7.1 - Matt Besler will return for SKC this weekend as they take on Portland Timbers at home. They will be looking for redemption after losing to FCD and tying NYRB in week one. This game should be a wild one. I think SKC come out on top with great defense.
