The US get a tough group in this edition of the Gold Cup.

CONCACAF was in Philadelphia today to announce the final group pairings for this year's Gold Cup. As we reported back in 2014, Toyota Stadium will host the opening games of this year's tournament with a Group A double header.

The United States men's national team will be joined in Group A by Blas Perez and Panama, Haiti and the winner of a play-in series.

The play-in series will be in late March, between the fifth-place finisher of the 2014 UNCAF Central American Cup (Honduras) and the 2014 Caribbean Football Union Caribbean Cup (French Guiana). French Guiana will be the home team for the first leg on March 25, while Honduras will host the return leg on March 29.

The double header will be on July 7 with the Panama and Haiti at 6:00 PM local time, followed by the US hosting either Honduras or French Guiana in the second match at 8:30pm.

The US will follow up the first match with a game against Haiti in New England, with the match against Panama in Kansas City to finish out group play.

FC Dallas fans could potentially see Perez, Matt Hedges and Tesho Akindele all called up for the Gold Cup this summer, with all three potentially playing in their home stadium to start out the tournament.
