Je-Vaughn Watson signs new deal | Big D Soccer

Just a little ICYMI type link to start us off today, Watson is back in Dallas after his winter hold out. Hopefully he can provide some instant upgrade at right back.

The high five for week one |

Even though Steve Davis is writing for the club, it doesn't mean his weekly column is going to always focus on the team. Here are his quick takes from the week.

New TV times score big for MLS in opening weekend |

Nice to see some TV numbers go up in the first week of the year. I think for someone like UniMas it helped not having Chivas USA as the first game of the year this time around.

Stumptown Breakdown: Historically direct | Stumptown Footy

The passing numbers were way down for Portland in the season opener, maybe that was due to no Will Johnson.

The Empire's team, NYCFC | Hudson River Blue

Nothing like a cruel mention of FCD in this one but I give credit to these NYCFC fans for trying explain why they are the kings of the Big Apple now.

It is interesting how many more eyeballs are taking notice across the pond these days.

MLS never signed the 2010 CBA | ABC News

So wait, what? This is rather crazy if this is true. They never released the CBA in 2010 because they basically didn't sign a new one. They just added to the previous one. Interesting. No wonder the players were pissed this time around.

Yankee Stadium far from ready for NYCFC | NY Daily News

Playing at any sort of stadium that isn't a soccer stadium is risky but playing in a baseball park is certainly setting yourself up for a potential disaster.

Minnesota is high on the league's list for expansion | ASN

A couple of league sources have let ASN know that Minnesota is the front-runner, while Miami continues to be a puzzle that is missing a few pieces.

Rapids partner with local college to provide 'soccer-specific' degree |

A business degree that focuses in on soccer...or it mostly focuses in on getting an internship with the Rapids. I keep thinking that I've missed out on some wild degrees in college that are around these days though. What will they think of next?

Alright, that is all that I have for now. What do you all have to say today?
