FC Dallas hits the field for the second time this preseason with a friendly against Swedish second division side Jönköpings Södra IF.

[We're being told that this game may not be streamed but in the event that it does, we will update this page with information on how to watch!]

FC Dallas will be looking to rebound after their 4-0 preseason-opening loss to Orlando City on Wednesday in a match that saw mostly trialists and reserves get a run out. Here are a couple things to keep an eye out for in today's match that kicks-off at 6:00 pm at the MG Academy Stadium in Bradenton, FL.

Main core in action

Expect Oscar Pareja to use more of his main players in this one as he looks to prepare his team for the upcoming MLS season that begins in March. Aside from Matt Hedges and Blas Perez, both of whom are with their national teams that will play in California against one another on Sunday, FCD has most of their main guys ready to go for this one.

This will be FCD's final preseason match outside of the state of Texas, which means Pareja has to really ramp up the minutes for the first team guys. FCD will likely use this match as a springboard for next week's tournament in Austin against MLS sides Columbus and D.C. United.

Formation

With the first team guys getting minutes, this is also another opportunity to see what Pareja is thinking in terms of formation for the upcoming season. With Mauro Diaz and Fabian Castillo likely leading the charge today on the offensive side of the ball, we'll get a good idea as to how we should expect things to go this season.

Some youth to be served

Just because Pareja is expected to give most of the key players 60-70 minutes tonight, it doesn't mean that we won't see minutes out of some young guys. I fully expect some Homegrown guys like Alejandro Zendejas to get a few minutes, as well as some of the rookies like Otis Earle and Jainell Hoilett.

On the trialist

A lot of trialists and guest players saw action on Wednesday against Orlando. This game may be the final time that we see most of those players with the club this preseason. I would imagine that after this run, most of those guys like Marvin Chavez and maybe Juan Toja will be parting ways with the club.
