First preseason match didn't go nearly as planned for FCD.

Well, it was only a preseason game yesterday. FC Dallas started off their 2015 preseason with a lot of young guys, guest players and new faces against Orlando in a 4-0 loss. We may dive more into that game later but first here are some morning headlines.

This game with Orlando was truly about getting minutes for the young guys and new faces. I do think it was interesting to see a couple more academy guys on the bench in this one too.

Rafa Marquez still screwing American players in Italy | The Bent Musket

Lets be honest about this for a second, for Marquez this is a gangster style move to add a clause in your contract that you'll get more money when the club adds any more defenders. Seriously, his agent is a genius. But on the other hand, he's such a dick for screwing over a young American in AJ Soares from making a move to Italy.

Colorado needs a ton of work this preseason but landing a young DP is a good start.

Okay big guy, okay. In all seriousness, if you go to MLS Cup and are say in the quarterfinal round of the CCL each year, you pretty much play between early February and December. I think I saw that there was only 46 days between the end of MLS Cup and the start of preseason this year too.
