Now that the European transfer window is closed, maybe some of the silliness of the offseason will go with it.

FC Dallas

We are pushing through more into the first week of February as FC Dallas is currently getting ready to take on Orlando City tomorrow in Florida. We'll have plenty on that but first we have some morning links.

The young Hoops are currently in the Copa Chivas tournament. They drew a couple games already but yesterday they were hammered by the hosts 6-0.

Orlando signs former FCD midfielder Avila |

So Eric Avila signs back into MLS through the Allocation Order, which FCD passes on him with. We'll discuss this a little more this morning.

Wages spent and accomplishments in MLS | Massive Report

A really interesting look at how teams have spent these last few years and what they've got to show for it. FCD as we all know has a couple top four finishes and one MLS Cup runners-up. Basically this shows that if you spend and spend wisely in this league, great things will happen.

Pretty impressive that they have those kinds of numbers before First Kick. It makes me wonder what FCD's season ticket numbers look like these days, I feel like I ask every year for them and get the same kind of reply "they're better than last year".

The third division has their schedule out, you can find Arizona's schedule here if you'd like a closer look. Plenty of chances to see some young talent this year in some markets fairly close to Dallas, as OKC, Tulsa and Austin all have teams this year.

So the annual championship team heads to the White House was yesterday for MLS. LA once again was the team visiting the big office and the President had nice things to say.
