We're moving forward in our community predictions for the upcoming season. Today we turn our attention to one of the biggest stars of FC Dallas, midfielder and Designated Player Mauro Diaz.
Diaz has had some really great moments with the club since joining in the middle of the 2013 season. And unfortunately due to injuries, he's had some rough moments as well.
The young Argentine midfielder played in only 19 games a year ago while nursing a couple different injuries (knee and hamstring). But in those 19 games he started nine of them and was able to produce three goals and three assists. He was also the league's Player of the Month for March as he helped FC Dallas race out of the gate to a 4-1-1 start to the season.
But how do you think Diaz will do in 2015? Will he finally stay healthy enough to help push FC Dallas towards a MLS Cup? Time to make your preseason predictions below with how many games he will play in and start along with the number of goals and assists. I'm feeling pretty optimistic that he'll remain healthy enough to be a viable player for the club this season.
29 games played, 23 starts, 8 goals, 13 assists
