Maybe Oscar Pareja is trying to get the band back together again. FC Dallas is currently in Florida for preseason training this week as they get set to take on Orlando City SC on Wednesday and Swedish Swedish sides Jonkopings Sodra IF and Malmo FF. One familiar face is training with the club this week in sunny Florida.

For those curious Chavez, who was with Chivas USA in 2014, is currently a free agent. He went through both stages of the MLS Re-Entry Draft back in December and is now free to sign with anyone he wants.
Pareja already got one former FCD player to return this winter in Atiba Harris, so why not another one in Chavez. The Honduran midfielder spent three seasons in Dallas before going to San Jose, Colorado and Chivas. He was apart of the club that went to the MLS Cup in 2010 too.
At 31, Chavez does seem like a gamble to take on but he would be a decent locker room guy to get given his familiarity with most of the players here and Pareja. He may not be the sexy, Designated Player option that most fans would rather see signed this offseason but he does fill a current hole on the wings for the club.
What do you think? Would you take Chavez back?
