A signing may be on the way today for FC Dallas.

Brendan Maloney-USA TODAY Sports

The first game at Toyota Stadium is drawing near as FC Dallas prepares to take on D.C. United again tomorrow. We have plenty to discuss on that one but lets get into some morning links first.

Zimmerman aiming big in 2015 |

For the club and player's sake, I really hope he can stay healthy enough this season to achieve his goals. I really do. A healthy Zimmerman could likely mean a solid back four too for the club.

2015 Preseason expectations for FCD | Sports Talk Florida

A fairly random blog found when Googling this morning but it is a preseason post on the club nonetheless.

Could USMNT be the next stop for Columbus' Tchani? |

I'm really enjoying these daily thoughts from Matt Doyle. I'm not sure I'm totally on board with the thought of Tony Tchani being a USMNT just yet but I've always been a fan of this guy's game. Columbus missed him badly this past weekend in Austin.

Preseason tracker for February 18 |

There were plenty of games yesterday in preseason play both in Arizona and in Florida. Along with that there were also some interesting results from those games.

Tim Howard has no plans to go to MLS |

I never believed the rumor a couple weeks ago when it came out. Honestly, Howard seems to be a guy that doesn't need to come back to MLS at the end of his career. I won't hold it against him if he doesn't spend the last two years of his career in this league.

Gerrard won't be handed the captain's armband upon arrival in LA |

A pretty good look at what Robbie Keane thinks of this summer addition by LA. I do think it will be exciting to see them play together again.

Orlando City: The new face of the league | The Mane Land

Eh, okay. Yeah. I'm not sure I'd go that far but the fans down in Florida seem to think pretty highly of themselves right now going into their first season. A good losing streak may cure that.

Expansion teams have widely different historical tracks | 91st Minute

Basically this is saying, expect to lose for a while NYCFC and Orlando. At least history is telling you that will be the case. While I understand that part of the equation, I do think one of these two clubs will eventually be a solid franchise in this league before long (likely Orlando).

Nothing to fear but free agency itself | Eight by Eight

Everyone is on the CBA bandwagon these days, so consider this your daily CBA thought/article/post/etc.

Qatar's winter World Cup, CBA notes and more |

Grant Wahl's little note book does have a mention about Dan Kennedy in it. I guess he is handling things for FCD on the CBA front. Plus there is that whole Qatar winter World Cup thing that is about to blow up. Funny how MLS won't be affected by that kind of change.

Alright, that appears to be it for now. What do you all have going on today?
