FC Dallas looks to wrap up the ATX Pro Challenge with a tournament title.

Brendan Maloney-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas made quick work of the Columbus Crew on Friday night and will now battle fellow MLS original club D.C. United in the ATX Pro Challenge title game.

United defended the hosts Austin Aztex on Friday night to earn their spot in the championship match. These two sides will meet again next weekend in Frisco, so it will be an interesting match to say the least to see how the two sides approach it considering the fact that they'll meet again in less than seven days.

Oscar Pareja used a good mix of players in the win over Columbus, and will likely do the same on Sunday afternoon. This will certainly be a game that we'll see more minutes out of the younger guys and trialists as Pareja continues to work out a way to get those players into the lineup.

Key player for FCD: Mauro Diaz. Once again, I see Diaz as the key in this match for FCD. If he can get another solid 45 to 60 minutes in this one, it will go a long way in providing the right spark to this team in the preseason. Diaz has to get minutes on the field to work back into game shape here as he didn't play consistent minutes down the stretch for the club last year as he was battling injuries.

Biggest question: Was Ryan Hollingshead's two goals on Friday a fluke or something in the making?

A lot of people will be quick to point out that Hollingshead had a nice brace on Friday night against the Crew, in the first half nonetheless. But one goal was a tap in and the other was fairly similar. Still, two goals in a preseason game can build confidence for a young player, and this team thrives off confident players. FCD has some depth issues on the right side of the midfield as it is, so getting a player like Hollingshead going in the preseason in this manner is nothing short of a good thing.
