Already the club is claiming limited tickets available, but that is mostly because the south end will be unavailable.

Crew-Timbers rematch highlight opening day |

It seems kind of wrong of MLS to put the Crew and Portland against one another on opening day. But that is just how this thing worked out. Also, FCD gets to travel to Toronto in May for their first home game of the season in the even more renovated BMO Field.

Gonzalez sold to Pachuca | LAG Confidential

LA was working to keep Omar Gonzalez around the time that FCD traded Dan Kennedy to them. Now the Galaxy have sold their best defender, and some would argue their best player. It will be very interesting to see what they do now with their back four.

RBNY sign two more HGPs | Once a Metro

Gone are the days of signing a couple Homegrown players here and there. New York now has signed their 12th and 13th HGP. Sounds like they aren't done signing more either. NYCFC may be in a tough place with HGP signing | Empire of Soccer

NYC on the other hand is wanting to sign a guy from Wake Forest that could easily be a top five pick next month. The only thing standing in their way is the league approving it.

Revs players enjoy trip to Portugal | The Bent Musket

For three young New England players, a training session with Sporting CP could be what they need to jump start their 2016 campaigns. It would be interesting to find out if any FCD youngsters are doing the same this winter.

Luis Gil signing with Liga MX side |

Well, there goes one more player off the wish list for this winter.

{Editor's note: We'll be back on Monday  with your weekday links. Enjoy your Christmas everyone!}
