As MLS breaks for the FIFA international date this weekend, FC Dallas has announced five of their own have been called up by their respective countries for national team duty.
Blas Perez (Panama), Tesho Akindele (Canada), Moises Hernandez (Guatemala), Je-Vaughn Watson (Jamaica) and Atiba Harris (St. Kitts and Nevis) will play for their national teams during the international break that runs through November 17.
All five players will return in time for next weekends' first leg of the Western Conference finals against Portland.
Perez and Panama have FIFA World Cup qualifying matches vs. Jamaica on Nov. 13, and Costa Rica on Nov. 17. Akindele and Canada play Honduras on Nov. 13 and El Salvador on Nov. 17, in FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. Hernandez and Guatemala face Trinidad and Tobago on Nov. 13 and St. Vincent/Grenadines on Nov. 17. Both matches are FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Watson and Jamaica play FIFA World Cup qualifying matches vs. Panama on Nov. 13 and against Haiti on Nov. 17. Harris and St. Kitts will face Andorra on Nov. 12 and Estonia on Nov. 17.
FC Dallas missed a total of 55 player‐matches for MLS games this season due to international call ups (Acosta 4, Tesho 4, Castillo 3, Craft 3, Bekker 3, Gonzalez 7, Harris 1, Hernandez 6, Perez 7, Watson 7, Zendejas 10).
