Ah, a Monday morning after beating a rival always makes the week start off better.

One of the biggest things I took away from yesterday's win over Houston was seeing Zach Loyd get an assist for the first time since 2012. The effort on that play cannot be understated.

Two big goals for the forward but that first one was something else to see. If that doesn't earn Goal of the Week, we are going to have a problem.

You can check off the box that read "click playoff spot in 2015". Now it is time to set our sights a bit higher with a top two seed and maybe, just maybe a Supporters' Shield.

Matt Doyle doesn't spend a lot of time on the Dallas win other than providing context to the things we already know like the team is better with Mauro Diaz and what not.

Barrett's late goal salvages a point for Seattle | Sounder at Heart

Well, that was about as good as we could have hoped for last night in Seattle when the Galaxy faced the Sounders. A 1-1 draw did what it was suppose to do, lower the number of points left available for both sides and keep FCD within a point of first place.

It is almost time to look ahead to Wednesday's match in Vancouver as the Caps also gave us a nice result this weekend.

Sponsors circling FIFA and Blatter | Stars and Stripes FC

It is really and truly only a matter of time before Sepp Blatter decides to leave. The sponsors stepping up to say they will pull their money away from FIFA was always going to be the biggest blow and the quickest way to get someone like Blatter to leave.
