The playoffs started with a bang last night.

This time last year the club was dealing with the quick turn around that the knockout round makes you deal with. This year is a welcome break from that.

It has taken them a long time to get over their LA demons in the playoffs but Seattle finally did it last night in the Knockout Round in a 3-2 win. The game itself was a wild one with four goals in the first 25 minutes. Should Portland beat SKC tonight, FCD will be going back to Seattle this weekend.
Crazy to think that back in the summer, the Galaxy looked so good when Steven Gerrard and Gio dos Santos arrived. Months later, they are a shell of that team. Also, what the heck has happened to Dallas-native Omar Gonzalez?
DCU also picked up a big win at home last night, downing New England. So, we now know that there won't be a chance for New England to be in the Cup final this year.
It was all for nothing though as New England failed to get by DCU last night.
Gosh I hope we don't have to write one of these types of posts next weekend. Also, kind of fun to watch Jermaine Jones go all crazy at Mark Gieger last night too.
Caleb Porter really didn't want to reveal any updates for some of his key players.
This was written before last night's knockout round about the eight teams that didn't reach the post season. Lots to go over for each club as the off season begins.
