For the second month in a row, Fabian Castillo has been called up by Colombia head coach José Néstor Pékerman. This time around he will join the South American side for two important World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Uruguay.
Castillo picked up his first call up last month for a friendly being held at Red Bull Arena.
The All-Star midfielder will unfortunately be out of FC Dallas' lineup for two big games with Vancouver that are coming up. The Peru match is on October 8 while the game with Uruguay follows that on October 13. The games with Vancouver hit the Dallas schedule on October 7 and 14.
Castillo will join the like of James Rodriguez, Falcao Garcia and Cristian Zapata.
This is likely the first of a few more international call ups that FC Dallas will have to deal with this month. Players like Blas Perez, Moises Hernandez, Tesho Akindele and Je-Vaughn Watson are all expected to receive call ups.
