Well that didn't go quite as planned yesterday evening for the United States men's national team in their friendly with Chile. A halftime lead was erased and FC Dallas defender Matt Hedges didn't earn a single minute. We'll dive into that more but first here are your morning headlines.

Lots of usual preseason talk here but the one note on the Arizona affiliation catches my eye a little more. I'm going to go ahead and say this but I think FCD may be grooming Michael Dellorosso to be their future USL PRO coach when FCD 2 comes into play next year. Just a gut feeling kind of thing.
Some good comments on Homegrown keeper Jesse Gonzalez, who is really starting to shine for club and country. Wouldn't it be something if he got minutes with the first team where Richard Sanchez never did?

The 3-5-2 worked for a little while in the first half against Chile but the second half, the wheels fell off.
New York makes some series moves to get Sacha Kljestan. I'm still very impressed in how they out-did the LA Galaxy.

Apparently two MLS sides have interest. No word which clubs are interested but we know they aren't any of his former MLS sides. I'm still impressed people even want to give him a shot anymore. I've been told that players don't really like playing with him, which is part of the problem. My gut tells me he ends up with the New York Cosmos.
A lot could depend on the CBA but if TFC is able to retain him and remove his DP tag, then they did something crazy behind the scenes.
MLS has done well with most of their expansion clubs, which makes me believe this one still has a realistic shot at making it.
