Tesho Akindele discusses his US National Team camp experience

FC Dallas forward Tesho Akindele was back in town at preseason training.

FC Dallas forward Tesho Akindele got his first real taste of a national team camp over the last couple weeks with the United States team. After not making the final cut for the 23-man roster for the Chile and Panama friendlies, the 2014 Rookie of the Year is back in Frisco training with the club ahead of the preseason trip to Florida.

FCDTV caught up with Akindele to discuss his time with the national team and to share his overall experience with the team. From the looks of things (and the sounds from those who have been to training so far this week), Akindele has brought back a sharp touch and a good energy level from his national team stint.

FC Dallas defender Matt Hedges is still with the national team as they head to Chile for the friendly tomorrow evening. They will then take on Blas Perez and Panama on Sunday February 8.
