We're at the first full week of training in the preseason. FC Dallas is in town until this weekend, after that they will head to Florida for their first meaningful action of 2015. Until then we do have some links to dive into this morning.

This came in late last week but the key points for me center around how much talent is back on this roster for 2015. Lower turnover in clubs usually mean good seasons. Usually.
More comments from Tesho Akindele on how his experience was with the USMNT and what he has to do next.

Maybe this deal will spark my interest in the Fire's 2015 season, or maybe it will not. I can't tell. Is anyone truly excited by this kind of move?
Very interesting news coming out of New York, that Paris Saint-German owners QSI may be interested in buying into MLS via the Red Bulls. Another oil owner in the league is something I'm sure the brass on 5th Ave wouldn't mind listening to.
Ah yes, free agency. I'm curious to see how far players plan to go to get this type of thing. But I'm also more curious to see how much the salary really does increase this time around too.
Here is an interesting argument on the subject too. Like the article goes on to say, MLS has far less leverage in talks with new players due to the global market. But I think the whole free agency is really for that small select group of players that have been in the league for a while and want a new home.
To go from a local broadcast reach of 500k to around 5 million is pretty impressive. Small market clubs like RSL thrive on deals like this and hopefully we'll see more like it for other clubs too. Which also brings up the thought of FCD's local TV deal. No word yet if Time Warner (yuk) is still involved in 2015 or if the club will go another direction this time around. I hope something better will come out this year for us.
For FCD, it is probably the two players you would expect to headline this list at the start of preseason.
Some really, really good work here from the league's website on Orlando. We ever get some actual dollar amounts on the allocation trades. Drink that in everyone.
Speaking of the SuperDraft, some folks (me included) believe it is time for a big change in the college draft.
Alright folks, that is all that I have for now. What do you have going on today?
