It didn't take long for some former FC Dallas players to find new homes this winter as the NASL's New York Cosmos have announced that they signed midfielder Adam Moffat today.
"I had some very positive conversations with Gio and the coaching staff," Moffat said in a press release. "It's clear what their vision is in terms of the Cosmos' playing style and where the team's headed. I really wanted to be a part of that and am excited to start a new chapter in my career."
Moffat appeared in 20 games for FCD this past year, with 13 of them coming as starts. He was apart of a offseason deal in 2013 that brought him to Frisco from Seattle in exchange for Kenny Cooper. FCD opted not to re-sign the veteran midfielder following the season.
Moffat had a bit of an injury and suspension bug in 2014 though, especially in the latter part of the season when he was out with multiple hamstring injuries.
Our best certainly go out to Adam though. He is the second straight veteran player to not get re-signed by FCD in the last year to end up in the NASL, which isn't a bad landing spot for an older player these days.
