FC Dallas hopes to get back on track as they host a midweek game with Seattle.

Cooper Neill

The road the playoffs continue to get tougher as FC Dallas is back in action on short rest tonight as they host the Seattle Sounders.

Seattle is coming off a busy week that saw them win the US Open Cup last Tuesday in Philadelphia before they went down in New York over the weekend in a 4-1 blowout.

Seattle has practically owned FC Dallas over the years in this season series going 8-2-4 with a 3-1-3 record in Frisco.

FC Dallas Notes:

Injury report:

Out: George John (knee), Hendry Thomas (ACL tear),

Questionable (but not on the official report): Walker Zimmerman (hamstring), Stephen Keel (foot), Mauro Diaz (hamstring) and Fabian Castillo (hamstring)

When FCD scores the most. According to the club's game notes, FC Dallas is tied for first in MLS (10) in goals scored between the 16th and 30th minutes this season.

Injuries and suspensions. Including Dallas' three matches in the U.S. Open Cup, the team has lost 173 games due to injuries so far this season. Another 14 games have been lost due to suspensions. A total of nine players have been ejected through the first 29 matches this season. The club record for red cards in a season was seven, which occurred during the 2008 season.

Homegrown depth. Dallas' Homegrown players have logged a league high 3,772 minutes or 13% of the team's total minutes this season (52GP, 43GS). Danny Garcia (282 MP), Moises Hernandez (847 MP), Victor Ulloa (1,924 MP) and Kellyn Acosta (719 MP) have played more minutes than any other group of Homegrown players in MLS.

Prediction:

This definitely won't be an easy game for FC Dallas considering Diaz and Castillo are out for it. Getting Matt Hedges back in the lineup is big though but he'll have his work cut out for him with Clint Dempsey and Obafemi Martins leading the charge. I know I harp on the 'you win your home games' motto and I still will but this one just screams a draw and that may be an okay thing.

I think at the end of it that is what we will see as the Sounders will turn things up early in this one and cause FCD to come from behind. But Michel or Blas Perez will do enough to help lead the charge and get some points out of this match to end September.

FC Dallas 1, Seattle 1
