FC Dallas struggled to maintain a second half lead as they dropped their third straight road match 2-1 on Saturday night to the LA Galaxy.

FCD got a goal in the 54th minute from Blas Perez after LA had been peppering the Dallas defense with shots and attempts all game. Andres Escobar earned his first assist in league play on the goal. The Colombian played a well-timed pass to the right side for Perez who hammered it into the upper 90 of the goal.

But LA would respond with Robbie Keane tying things up eight minutes later in the 62nd minute. LA recovered the ball in the midfield from Victor Ulloa, Gyasi Zardes took the ball away and found Keane who didn't placed a hard shot by the outstretched hands of Raul Fernandez.

The Galaxy would get the go-ahead goal in the 84th minute as Keane found Alan Gordon in the penalty box. The veteran forward headed the ball into the back of the net as he wasn't marked well in the box by the Dallas defense.

The win helped LA clinch a playoff berth, just the second team behind Seattle to do so this season.

FC Dallas returns home for a midweek match next Wednesday as they host the Seattle Sounders.
