The weekend is finally here as FC Dallas is getting ready to take on the LA Galaxy. We'll have a lot of preview material for you all today and tomorrow but first here are your Friday morning links.

Everyone had their opinions on the new MLS logo yesterday. 3rdDegree even got some local design folks opinions on the logo. Very interesting stuff. I'll admit that I showed this off to a few design people yesterday, all had fairly positive responses to the new look believe it or not. Then again this minimalist approach is a thing right now in the design world.
It was certainly an up and down year for Jonathan Top in Arizona but by the end of it all he got some valuable playing time.
Scott and Daniel break down tomorrow's big game in LA.

Plenty more discussion on the new logo, but it is good to hear from the folks that came up with the look on how they did it.
Honestly, the timing wasn't even an issue for me. Or probably for most of you. With the 20th season approaching it made a lot of sense really.
Some interesting comments from the NYCFC star. Even more so that he thinks Europe needs to adopt the playoff structure that MLS has. That will be sure to piss off some folks.
I gotta admit, I'm a tad jealous of RSL getting something like this in their stadium. The two small video boards at Toyota Stadium are kind of worthless. Plus, after seeing a large one in person at Sporting Park, it is just such a night and day difference.
He didn't flat out say that they would go on hiatus but he didn't really deny anything about it either.
Apparently the USL club tried to buy the woeful LA side. I know most of you are saying, let it happen but MLS really wants two teams in LA. Like really, really bad. Just the same way they wanted two teams in NYC so badly.
Numbers to know today, we're back up to 99.1 chance to get into the playoffs with a 0.3 chance at the Supporters' Shield. Ha.
Well that is all I have for this morning, feel free to comment on items below and discuss this weekend's game if you feel like it.
