MLS Fantasy Manager: Week 28

It will be hard for FC Dallas players to get many fantasy points on the road this week.

FC Dallas

Blas Perez lead the way with 14 fantasy points last week at home against Vancouver. Everyone did decent in the points department last week. However, that doesn't look the case this weekend. FCD travels to LA to take on a red hot Los Angeles Galaxy team.

Who to start/add

Fabian Castillo $6.9 - If we come away with any points in LA, it will be because of Castillo. I like the match up of him and Dan Gargan, Robbie Rogers, AJ DeLaGarza, or whomever it may be. Castillo will play all over. Left, right, and up top. We will try to utilize him as much as we can in this one.

Mauro Diaz $7.8 - I know, I know. You're probably saying "Start Diaz? But he's still coming back from injury!" I know. We need his creativity in this one. We can't rely on Castillo too much. I'm hoping he starts and can go at least 60 minutes. Even if he doesn't start, he will come off the bench early in the second half and be a difference maker. The team is way more energized with him on the pitch. High risk, high reward.

Michel $7.5 - It looks like Michel will start again this week. Most likely at defensive midfield again and not left back or left mid. Michel is always a good bet to start because of his set piece abilities. FCD draws a lot of fouls by getting into dangerous areas. If there's a penalty kick, he's taking it and it's going in the back of the net. If it's outside the box, there's still a good chance it's going in.

Who not to start/add

Andres Escobar $6.0 - I like Escobar. But, he just fades in and out of games. Especially the last few weeks, it's like he didn't even play. I don't think he will turn it around this week, but I hope he does. Too much money spent on him not to produce.

Moises Hernandez $5.1 - Hernandez has been solid at left back this season. I don't see him getting the start over Jair Benitez this week though. He could come on for the second half again like last week, but he doesn't get many fantasy points anyways.

Blas Perez $8.4 - Perez has been hot lately. Scoring goals for Panama and FCD recently. It seems like he will get tired at some point playing all these minutes. If he starts this weekend, I think he will have heavy legs and not have much of an impact.

No midweek games and no double-game weeks for anyone this week. Seattle Sounders are the only team who play two games next week. Plan accordingly.

Who to start/add

Javier Morales $10.8 - Morales has tallied two goals and three assists in a three-game stretch. He's on fire right now. As Real Salt Lake make their playoff push, look for Morales to be more active. Playing Colorado at home this week should mean an easy win over an injury-depleted Rapids squad. He's a good guy to have the rest of the season.

Joao Plata $7.7 - Another RSL player. Like I said, Colorado isn't very good right now. RSL will take advantage of that at home. Plata has arguably been the most effective forward this season. Not too expensive of an option either.

Gilberto $8.1 - In Jermain Defoe's absence, Gilberto has been scoring goals for Toronto FC. With a game at home against Chivas USA this weekend, he should be a good bet to get some good fantasy points.

Who not to start/add

Anyone on the Colorado team - This is the first time I've done this. I've said to not start a team's defense before, but this week I'm telling you not to start anyone from Colorado. RSL are back in full force.

Vancouver Whitecaps defense - Vancouver travels to Portland after losing on the road to FCD last weekend. Portland thrashed the Whitecaps 3-0 in Vancouver a few weeks ago. Both teams trying to get that last playoff spot in the West. Diego Valeri and the Portland Timbers will come out firing.

Eddie Johnson $9.3 - Johnson is back in action after serving his suspension. Just in time to replace Fabian Espindola after Espindola received a red card last week against New York. D.C. United have played well this year. Johnson hasn't been the reason for DCU's success. He has only recorded five goals and two assists.

Bye week: Sporting Kansas City
