While Blas Perez is getting all the praise these days there is an important match to discuss tonight in Philadelphia. I'll have that and more in your morning links today.

The FCD kids will be in a group with Atlas, Morelia Monarcas, and Toronto FC. From the sound of things it looks like FCD may have lost their first match in this tournament though.
Two first half goals and a red card to Adam Moffat. Sounds about like how the main team games have gone this year.
Blas Perez was an obvious choice but it is doubly nice to see Victor Ulloa and Matt Hedges get some love here as well. Zach Loyd also got an honorable mention too.

It should be a good one this year with Philadelphia hosting Seattle. Lots of history there. A lot at stake as well. Teams at the top of the MLS table should be pulling for the Sounders to win this one so their CCL berth is already taken via this route.
If there is a year for any MLS side to do it (meaning USOC, SS and MLS Cup), it could be this year.
As one might expect there was plenty of from this week to recap.
Interesting news out of the Big Apple. Once believed that New York would field a USL team next year, it turns out they'll hold off. Sound familiar?
Sporting KC won't do one either | The Blue Testament don't think KC was very close to fielding one though considering the fact that they've been on board with affiliates since day one of this agreement.
Plenty of interesting talking points in this one. By all accounts it looks like Toronto may blow this roster up piece by piece and make an attempt at Bob Bradley. Alright then.
Boy I really do hate this for the few good folks that have been covering and following Chivas for these years. I can certainly sympathize with their frustration.
That is all for now, feel free to discuss tonight's USOC final and anything else on your mind.
