Two goals helped earn Perez the week's top honor.

As one might expect, some weekly awards are piling up for Blas Perez following his two goal effort against the Vancouver Whitecaps. The FC Dallas forward was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for Week 27 of the 2014 MLS regular season.

Perez scored two goals in the 2-1 win over Vancouver including a wonder strike in the 20th minute. Je-Vaughn Watson floated a pass to Perez into the corner of the right sideline. Perez would take the ball in front of the corner flag and curl in a wild shot into the left side of the goal, beating Vancouver keeper David Ousted.

Perez wasn't done on the night as he scored the game-winner in the 78th minute. Following a free kick from Michel, the ball was redirected off Tesho Akindele to the foot of Perez who one-timed the shot into the back of the net.

It was a busy week off the field for Perez as well as he scored two goals in two separate games for Panama.

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR. The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media. More information and membership information can be found at
