A new week for FC Dallas as they inch closer to a playoff berth.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Only six more weeks to go in this regular season. FC Dallas gained some valuable points over the weekend against Vancouver, we'll have more from that game but first here are some morning links to get your week started off.

Busy week for Perez | Dallas Morning News

Two full games and two goals for Panama during the week. One game, the full 90 and two goals for FCD on the weekend. Yeah, not a bad week at all for Blas Perez.

Perez just brought the team up a notch in terms of energy levels on Saturday.

Chivas USA could sit out 2015 | SI.com

This was the big topic of discussion over the weekend. CUSA could sit out a year after being sold for $100 million to a new owner in LA. Very curious to see what this means for the players, front office folks, and their academy system. At the end of the day, this move does sound very logical.

Poll: Does going on hiatus make sense for CUSA? | The Goat Parade

A fairly split crowd right now in this poll. I'm in the its a risky move but probably a needed one.

Definitely a lot to read in this one from Matt Doyle but always worth a read nonetheless. Perez got a mention for those who care.

Roster freeze looms for today | MLSSoccer.com

4pm CT is the deadline for all MLS squads to finalize their rosters for 2014. I'd imagine FCD will be very quiet today on that front.

Orlando can now begin MLS prep after their shocking exit in the USL playoffs | MLSSoccer.com

No one expected this to happen but Orlando was outed early in the USL PRO playoffs this past weekend to the eighth seed team. Time to get cracking on that roster for MLS.

While the Revs got another much needed win over the weekend, it did come at a cost.

A very interesting idea to bring to the game. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet but if it helps improve the game then give it a go.

I am sure plenty of you are smiling at that headline.

Our old pal Andrew Jacobson is doing well in Norway right now as he is on loan there with Bob Bradley's team.

Is the California Clasico the league's best rivalry? | MLSSoccer.com

I'll finish with this one today, before the LA-SJ game yesterday, this post was up on the league's website. Some in California seem to believe it is. At times it is hard to argue with that idea. I mean they do have six MLS Cups between them. What do you all think is the best rivalry in MLS?

That is it for this Monday morning, feel free to comment below on these links and more out there. Stay classy my friends.
