MLS Fantasy Manager: Week 22

FC Dallas players could get a decent amount of points this week against Colorado.

FC Dallas

FCD plays Colorado at home this week. Last time we played the Rapids, the Hoops came out on top 3-2, starting our now seven game unbeaten run in MLS play.

Who to start/add

Matt Hedges $8.4 - Hedges is 3rd in points scored by a defender this year. He is always a solid option to start. Usually gets defensive bonuses and occasionally will head in a goal every now and then. If he can deal with Deshorn Brown, we're looking at another shutout for FCD.

Fabian Castillo $6.5 - Castillo's price has gone down significantly since being suspended and missing four games in MLS. Great value for what he's capable of. Get him while he's cheap!

Tesho Akindele $4.7 - Tesho has four goals on the season and three in his last four. Bargain alert!

Who not to start/add

Michel $7.2 - You never know when he is going to play or if he will even play. Too risky to have on your team at the moment.

Je-Vaughn Watson $5.9 - What happened to early in the season Watson? I want him back.

Andres Escobar $6.0 - He is a great value pickup. But, at the moment, it's unclear if he will get the playing time he saw when Castillo wasn't available.

No midweek games.

Who to start/add

Robbie Keane $11.3 - As soon as I realized Jermain Defoe was injured and would be out a few weeks, I immediately picked up Keane. Keane is a monster on fantasy. He can really rack up the points.

Gyasi Zardes $7.0 - Zardes has scored five goals in his last five games. Los Angeles Galaxy are on fire at the moment and I'm going with the hot foot.

Diego Valeri $10.2 - Did anyone else see that pass to Landon Donovan (sad face because he's retiring) in the MLS All-Star game? Wow. I think he will tear up that weak Chivas USA defense.

Who not to start/add

Marco Di Vaio $9.9 - Montreal played a midweek game in CONCACAF Champions League play (and won by the way) and Di Vaio will be tired. I expect him not to play much, or at all, against Philadelphia. Even if he does play, he's not the Di Vaio of last season that challenged Mike Magee (who isn't himself either) last season for the Golden Boot.

Patrick Ianni $5.6 - The Chicago Fire are probably the most unlucky team in MLS this season. They have so many draws, it's ridiculous. I don;t expect them to draw this week though when Bradley Wright-Phillips and New York come to town. Did anyone see Wright-Phillips' blasty blast against Bayern Munich in the All-Star game? Even better than Valeri's pass!

Victor Bernardez $8.3 - Any team playing LA right now should be scared for their life. LA is taking care of business. I wouldn't start anyone on San Jose's team.
