FC Dallas head coach Oscar Pareja
On the match:
"Good match. I thought we played well. Thought we had the best of the options in the game. It was one of those games where you can't find the net and I have to accept it. We've been very sharp for the past month and a half, and the one night like tonight, we have to accept losing the points. It's part of the game. We couldn't find the net today. Then we were scored on by a very isolated play. We weren't concentrating enough and we gave up a goal there. I thought we played better. "
On the youthful lineup:
"It's been a challenge all season, but not a problem for us. It's a great opportunity. For me, I was delighted to see the young players on the field. I can't be happier to see this club getting younger and getting minutes in games. The future looks bright for us for sure."
On getting Kellyn Acosta back from injury:
"It's great to get Kellyn back. It's great to get him back, yes. He needs freedom in his games and that is what this game is for. We are fighting for points and at the same time we are bringing players back into the rhythm. And that's great. It will pay off in the near future."
On matching up against Real Salt Lake next home match:
"The league is hard. This is a day by day thing. We need to keep moving forward one game at a time. We don't stay in the past, and last week and today, I'm not going to stay with what happened. We correct and we move forward. We move on. It's the way it is."
FC Dallas Defender and Captain Matt Hedges
On the match:
"I thought it was a pretty even game both teams. Both teams had their chances. They just took theirs and we didn't take ours. We hit the crossbar, we had a couple other open looks that we probably could have finished but that's what happens when you don't finish your chances. You can lose a game."
On how the new lineup performed:
"We had some guys in different positions than normal, and it took a little while to jell but I think after that it was okay. I think there's definite work to be done if we were to continue to play that way. I think it could work and I think the guys played well for it being the first time in that lineup."
On facing down Real Salt Lake next week:
"Yea, that's a big game. A win for either team puts them in a good position for the playoffs so we'll really need to get three points in that game. It's turning into a rivalry game for both teams. It gets pretty fierce but we are looking forward to it."
On the Brimstone Cup:
"It's disappointing. It's something we want to see that we win. We want to win every game but we will move on and get ready for the next game. It's all we can do."
FC Dallas Forward David Texeira
On the match:
"When we lose, I think we're very disappointed, no? Because we lost an important three points away so I think it's disappointing. Sometimes we lose, you know, now, but better we don't lose down the line. We are fighting for an important three points, and I'd rather lose now than against teams in our conference. We lost important points though. "
On their upcoming Western Conference opponents:
"We are still in the fight. So we have to keep concentrating but we need to focus on the next game. We have a difficult game in Salt Lake away, and we have to take three points in Salt Lake. We have to focus on what we do during the week."
On the team's response to injuries and suspensions:
"We have a few injuries but I think we they did good today, so I think that was a positive. We have to keep moving. We have to keep moving and looking forward so we have to concentrate on next week for the next game."
