FC Dallas Injury Update: New week, same old story

One thing you'll learn, never trust the league's official report.

We touched on it last week how FC Dallas is able to skim by with their injury reports in the league's game notes that are released each week. Once again the injury report comes out with the same names listed as before.

Out: George John (right knee), Hendry Thomas (ACL tear), Chris Seitz (quad tear)

It is interesting seeing Seitz still on the report. Last weekend he traveled with the Reserve team to Pittsburgh. Given how these reports have to be submitted to the league by Tuesday, I would imagine Seitz could be back on the bench soon this weekend, or at least feature in the Reserve league game. After all he was back in training this week.

After all of that we still have questions for the second straight week about Walker Zimmerman, Mauro Diaz, Adam Moffat, Stephen Keel and Moises Hernandez.

Thankfully, Hernandez appears to being closer to returning to the field. He was apart of the FCD reserves team in Pittsburgh last weekend and could be closer to at least getting back on the bench this week in Chicago. At the very least, he'll be in the reserve league game in the Windy City on Sunday as well.

When asked for an update on Zimmerman, the club couldn't offer one this week. My guess is no news is good news with him. I would go ahead and just figure him to not be apart of this weekend's trip to Chicago.

Steve Hunt offered this update on Keel, which sounds promising considering last week's update stated Keel might not return to the field until the end of the season.

Hunt also had this update on Diaz.

Lastly on Moffat, things appear to be getting better for him. According to the club he should be fit for this weekend. Whether or not that means we'll see him on the field remains to be seen but I would at least imagine he'll be on the travel roster like he was against San Jose two weeks ago.

At least FCD fans can hope that will be the case with Moffat, the club will certainly need him with Michel suspended for this game.
