Blas Perez named to preliminary Panama roster for Central American Cup

FC Dallas could be without one of their key strikers for the first couple weeks of the key playoff stretch run. No this isn't another injury but an international call-up as Blas Perez has been named to the preliminary Panama roster for the 2014 Central American Cup Tigo.

Panama will play Costa Rica and Nicaragua in Group B play.

The Central American Cup Tigo 2014 will decide the four automatic UNCAF berths for the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The fifth-place finisher will earn the right to participate in a two-leg playoff against the fifth-place team from the 2014 Caribbean Football Union Caribbean Cup, for an additional Gold Cup berth.

The seven participants in the Central American Cup Tigo 2014 USA - Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama - were each permitted to include up to 50 players in their initial lists. Each nation must cut its roster to 23 by September 1, 48 hours ahead of the opening series of matches scheduled for RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.
