Overall thoughts on the game...
It was a beautiful game tonight that a lot of people enjoyed. Everyone could see the atmosphere here. The crowd enjoyed the drama. Obviously, there was frustration for not getting to the final here at home. I thought the boys deserved it.
On using all three subs by halftime...
We emptied ourselves - the players did - on the field. That's something that we're proud of. They left everything on the field. It was one of those performances that encourages you and makes you feel not just proud but honored to belong to this club and to belong to this group of players. It was outstanding. The way we had to adjust, the way we had to get through that adversity in 120 minutes. The boys deserved to win - they were the best team on the field. I give credit to that group of players.
On Fabian Castillo...
Fabian showed once again what he can do. Fortunately, he had three chances more that could (have) ended up in a fantastic night, but that is the way the game goes. He was outstanding. I really feel bad for them because they deserved to have the final here. I'm just saying what I saw on the field, the adversity, but that's the game. The game sometimes comes and chooses.
On the fans...
Unbelievable. Those last 10 minutes and the rest of the extra time, there was an atmosphere here in the park that I've not seen before. That was awesome. I'm proud of the fans, I'm really proud of them.
Turnaround before Saturday's game...
Like I said we emptied ourselves on the field and there was nothing left. We have a couple of days to refuel. The heart is there, so I'm not worried about it.
Possible playoff forecast...
This is the group that I want to coach. This is the group that I dream to coach. Tonight I was very pleased that the game gave me the opportunity to coach this group of players. My dream came true. This is the heart that I want to see in an organization - I love it. It was good.
