It won't be easy but seeing a FC Dallas player win one of these weekly awards is always a battle. Midfielder Andres Escobar has been nominated for the Week 19 Goal of the Week.
Escobar's goal came in the first half against the New England Revolution on Saturday evening. Escobar took a rebound off a Tesho Akindele shot that rattled off the crossbar. He made a couple quick moves around a defender before firing off a rocket of a shot by New England keeper Bobby Shuttleworth.
The competition this week won't be easy for Escobar though. He has some stiff goals that he is going up against including a ridiculous Benny Feilhaber volley against Columbus, Robbie Keane's curler past Shuttleworth, Diego Valeri's bending trip against Colorado on Friday, and Bernardo Anor's goal from distance against Montreal.
Be sure to head over to the league's website to get your votes in for Escobar! Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays.
