Fabian Castillo Nominated For Goal of the Week

Castillo's wonderful run earns him a spot on the nominations for Goal of the Week.

It was certainly a big weekend for FC Dallas as they ended their eight-game winless streak. But it may have been an even bigger weekend for Fabian Castillo, the FCD hero from the win over the Colorado Rapids.

Castillo is one of five nominees for Goal of the Week for Week 14 in Major League Soccer. Castillo's dismantling of the Rapids defense in the middle of the second half on Saturday was a very big statement from the young Colombian as he dedicated the goal to his pregnant wife and future baby.

Other nominees this week include Colorado's Deshorn Brown's flick over Raul Fernandez in the first half of Saturday's game, Columbus' Ethan Finley's goal from last Wednesday against RSL, Chicago's Harrison Shipp's ridiculous pice of skill against Seattle's defense and Peguy Luyindula's thunderous volley against New England on Sunday.

Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. We're urging all of you to go here and vote for Castillo's goal!
