Take Your Pick: MLS Week 14's weekend predictions

The Big D Soccer team makes their predictions for the Week 14 weekend games.

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Not a great week for our predictions. Let's see how we do this week. I will include all the BDS team's predictions of the MLS games on the upcoming weekend. Correct prediction = 3 points awarded. You voted RSLvPOR to be the double-point game this week. Alright, let's do this thing.

[Note: FCD game predictions will come in a later post]

BDS picks

My picks

SKCatHOU - Well, this game will be ugly. Houston are without Boniek Garcia and Brad Davis. Sporting Kansas City are without Graham Zusi and Matt Besler and have a very depleted back line. I just don't see much happening in this game. It will either be a scoreless draw or a 4-4 crazy game. Who knows in MLS?

SJatTOR - San Jose will be without Chris Wondolowski and Victor Bernardez. Plus they will be on the road. Jermain Defoe will be too much for the San Jose back line.

CLBatDC - D.C. United have been hot lately. Fabian Espindola is on fire. Columbus will be without Federico Higuain away from home. Who will score for them?

VANatPHI - This is a tough one. Philly has a decent defense, but can't score. Vancouver have been playing pretty good lately. I'm going with the Whitecaps on the road.

SEAatCHI - Seattle is coming off a 4-0 win against Real Salt Lake, who were undefeated before then. Chicago is coming off a 3-0 loss to Philadelphia. My money is on Seattle.

PORatRSL - Ahhhh the double-point game this week. This should be one of the best games of the week. Portland are starting to return to form and RSL are coming off a tough loss. I'm thinking RSL will look to avenge their 4-0 dismantling by Seattle.

NYatNE - Thierry Henry likely out. Jamison Olave likely out. Roy Miller gone with Costa Rica. I don't see New York winning this one on the road to a strong New England side.

LAvCUSA - Robbie Keane won't be playing in this one. He is off playing an international friendly with Ireland. But, I still think Landon Donovan and the Galaxy get the job done.
