Quote Sheet:

FC Dallas head coach Oscar Pareja
General thoughts on the match...

Tonight I want to say, not this game or any other game, there are no excuses for not getting the points tonight. We take full responsibility. I'm very upset, especially with myself and us as a team, not to provide results with the effort, with the energy, with the way we work. We did not provide results and we feel bad for our fans, for the people who support our club because this is business and we need to get results. I'm upset. I can talk again about many good things, but, uh-uh, no excuses. It has to be better and it's not good enough.

On the effect of Adam Moffat's red card on the rest of the game...

Red cards are part of the game and yellow cards are part of the game. I haven't seen it yet.

On Fabian Castillo taking the PK...

They have some assignments for it, but still, they are professionals and I know there are some emotions and some responsibilities. When a player assumes that [responsibility] and he wants to take [the PK] and you're his teammate and he wants to take the PK and his teammates allow him, it's part of the game. When you take that opportunity, you take that responsibility as well. So, Fabian and the people who it was assigned to, they know what happened.

FC Dallas Midfielder Ryan Hollingshead
On his first MLS game...

It was amazing. It's obviously what you train for, and practice every day for. We started in January so it's been four, almost five months of just hard work. You wait for the day. I just want to keep playing, and keep making this team better, but still it's sour not getting a win, going down 10 men pretty early in the game... You don't want your debut to be a loss, but obviously excited to get on the field, and want to keep getting out there and start scoring goals, start making this team better.

Pushing the pace of play being down a man...

When you're down 2-1, even being down a man, you've got to throw all numbers forward. San Jose sat back a good amount in the second half, just kind of letting us attack since they had the numbers. That was the game plan, sprint back and forth. When you get the ball you've got to make something happen. Down a goal, you've got to do whatever it takes.

FC Dallas Forward Tesho Akindele
On being named Man of the Match...

I was trying to work hard today and create some problems for their defense. I almost got on the end of a few chances. I thought it was a decent game for me.

On his potential for improvement...

I can improve tons. I'm just learning the league, and every game I feel more confident. I can see improvement in myself every game. Even my fitness will go up so I can maintain my level the whole game.

FC Dallas Midfielder Victor Ulloa
On tonight's game...

They're goal might have been a handball, whether it was or not, it's just unacceptable on our part. There's no excuses. We need to find solutions, keep our heads up and keep moving.

On Blas Perez's goal from Fabian Castillo...

Great combination. Fabian just tried to put it in, Blas had great contact and put it in the back of the net.

On FC Dallas recent rough stretch of games...

Tough game. Only thing I can say is it's frustrating. It's unacceptable form us. Our fans don't deserve this. Our owners don't deserve this, and our club doesn't deserve this. It's been a tough stretch for us, but all we can do is get our heads up and look forward to the next game.
