MLS Fantasy Manager: Week Ten

Double-game week for Dallas as they face Seattle and San Jose on the road.

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas play two games this week. Both are on the road against Seattle and San Jose. Let's take a look at who to start and who not to start.

FC Dallas

Zach Loyd and Michel are back from suspension. But, Je-Vaughn Watson will miss the game against Seattle. Who will step up in the absence of Mauro Diaz?

Who to start/add

Danny Garcia $4.4 - With Diaz out, Garcia will play that role like he did against New York. He is probably the biggest sleeper in all of MLS Fantasy Manager right now. He has the potential to put up numbers very similar to Diaz and is currently only valued at $4.4 and selected by only 1.2 percent of fantasy managers.

Michel $7.9 - Michel has three goals in the three games he has played against Seattle. Can he make it four? FC Dallas is going to struggle in the run of play against Seattle. Hopefully Michel will provide help from his set pieces.

Who not to start/add

Jair Benitez $6.6 - Benitez was named to the MLS Team of the Week last week. But, he is a wild card. Some plays will make you say "wow" enthusiastically, and other plays will make you say "wow why did you do that Benitez?!" And there is always the possibility of him getting a card or two, because we all know how scrappy he plays.

Andrew Jacobson $6.2 - Mr. Utility has played a lot of different positions for FCD. I don't know where he will be playing this week(most likely CDM), but I know he won't get many fantasy points.

I hope you guys planned ahead and picked up a bunch of guys from Columbus, Houston, Seattle, San Jose, and Colorado. All these teams, including FCD, have two games this week.

Who to start/add

Clint Dempsey $10.7 - The tandem of Dempsey and Obafemi Martins has been fantastic this season. Two games in one week? I'm captaining Deuce. Martins is also a great pickup this week.

Brad Davis $10.7 - The return of Davis has Houston playing like normal again. In his first two games back, he has recorded a goal and an assist. Will Bruin is a guy who is definitely benefiting from Davis being back. Bruin is another good option.

Chris Wondolowski $9.6 - Wondo has five goals in seven games. It seems like he is always in the right place at the right time. With two games this week, he has a lot more chances to be in the right place at the right time.

Who not to start/add

Carlos Bocanegra $6.9 - What happened to Chivas USA? They were off to such a hot start. It seems CUSA has returned to being CUSA. The only bright spot has been Erick Torres, who has seven goals this season. But, their defense isn't looking good after surrendering four goals at home.

Diego Valeri $9.9 - I suggested you start him last week, he played well and got 12 points. I also predicted Portland would get their first win, and they did. But, I'm telling you not to play Valeri this week. The Los Angeles Galaxy are coming into town well rested and hungry for points.

Matteo Ferrari $7.9 - The Montreal Impact are coming off of a bye week. They will be ready to play. But when you're facing current MLS cup holder's Sporting Kansas City, it's not likely to go your way. The stellar offense of SKC and the poor defense of Montreal suggests that you shouldn't start any of the Montreal defense. The only player I would consider starting on Montreal is Marco Di Vaio.

Bye Week: Toronto FC
