Fernandez has already departed Dallas and will train with the Peruvian national teamin Madrid, Spain. The team will then travel to London to face England at Wembley Stadium on Friday, May 30. The match, which will kick off at 2 p.m. CT, is England's final home match prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Peru's second friendly will be against Switzerland at Swissporarena Stadium in Lucerne, Switzerland, on Tuesday, June 3. That match will kick off at 6:30 a.m. CT.
Fernandez will return to FC Dallas on June 4.
The other keeper called up is Homegrown star Richard Sanchez, who has currently playing with the Mexican U-21 National Team at the Toulon Tournament in Southeastern France. Sanchez has started two matches, a 2-0 loss to France on May 25 and a 2-2 draw against Chile, which was played today.
This likely means that this weekend we'll see another Homegrown make the bench as Jesse Gonzalez is the only other keeper available to backup Chris Seitz.
