FC Dallas dropped their sixth game of the season during the midweek against the LA Galaxy. FCD is now 5-6-1 on the season.
RSL extended their season-opening undefeated streak to 11 games (6-0-5) - now one shy of the all-time MLS record. The LA Galaxy opened their inaugural season - and the first MLS season - with a 12-0 record (2 by shootout); the Galaxy also started the 2010 season with 12 games without defeat (10-0-2).
FC Dallas Notes:

Ironman Hedges. Since making his professional debut against New England on April 5, 2012, center back Matt Hedges has started 68 and appeared in 74 of the club's 76 matches. Hedges appeared in his 52nd consecutive game for Dallas on 9/14/13 to surpass Ted Eck's run of 51 games from 4/5/98 through 7/31/99. Hedges streak ended on 10/5/13 when Stephen Keel took over for Hedges to end the UNC's product run at 54 consecutive appearances.

The quick turn around and the rest for RSL doesn't help FCD's cause in this one. Not to mention FCD hasn't exactly done very well at Rio Tinto Stadium over the years either. This one is going to be tough especially if Andrew Jacobson is another injury casualty for Oscar Pareja to deal with. Until the defense gets it together, it will continue to be hard to pick this team to win anything. I think they'll get on the board but it will be a lot like Wednesday game if they aren't careful.
