MLS Fantasy Manager: Week 11

New, comments

FC Dallas players look to be in good shape to grab some points against Chivas USA at home.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas players haven't faired well in fantasy manager due to the recent run of form. But, it looks bright for FCD this weekend as they face Chivas USA at home. Let's take a look at who to start and who not to start.

FC Dallas

Je-Vaughn Watson is back from suspension. But, FCD have lost Hendry Thomas to injury for 6-8 weeks. Who will fill the void?

Who to start/add

Michel $8.0 - It seems like the only guy getting points on this recent run of bad form is Michel. With Thomas out, it looks like he will be back to playing his defensive midfield role. Is he really our only hope at scoring nowadays? Looks like it. Great on set pieces and will bury penalty kicks when given the chance. Play him.

Matt Hedges $8.6 - Even though Thomas and Kellyn Acosta are injured and not available. I'm sticking with my prediction that FCD will have their first clean sheet of the season on Saturday. That means bonus points for our defense and whoever starts in goal this week.

Who not to start/add

Je-Vaughn Watson $6.1 - Watson hasn't been playing well since his hot start to the season. Receiving that red card made it that much worse for him. I wouldn't play him. But don't hate me if he has a resurgence tonight against a team he scored on earlier in the season.

Fabian Castillo $6.9 - Castillo has been one of the bright spots for FCD during the past few games. But, what happened to the talk about him thriving under Oscar Pareja? That talk has dwindled down. Castillo hasn't scored since scoring twice in first three games of the season. Again, don't be mad if he scores on the team he scored on earlier this season.

UNLIMITED TRANSFERS! Take advantage of this and reshape your team if you're not doing so hot. There are four teams (DC, FCD, HOU, LA,) with two games next week. Two teams with two games this week are Philadelphia and Sporting Kansas City.

Who to start/add

Aurelien Collin $10.0 - A little pricey, but worth it. SKC play Philly and Chicago. They Philly at home, and their attackers aren't producing. Good chance for a shutout. SKC play Chicago on the road, but that doesn't mean they won't dominate. Huge week for all SKC players.

Fabian Espindola $8.6 - Time to plan ahead. Espindola has a double-game week next week and he has been scoring threat D.C. United hoped Eddie Johnson would be. Plus DC play Montreal at home this week. And we all know how bad their defense is.

Obafemi Martins $9.9 - Seattle play San Jose at home this week. After their embarrassing 5-0 loss last week, they will be hungry to prove themselves. Seattle will be without Deandre Yedlin, Brad Evans, and Clint Dempsey. But, San Jose will be without Chris Wondolowski, Shea Salinas, Clarence Goodson, AND Victor Bernardez. Look for Seattle players to have huge weeks. Martins leading the charge among them.

Who not to start/add

Jordan Stewart $7.4 - It just doesn't look good for San Jose. I don't even know how they will field a team. I wouldn't start anyone on their team, especially defenders.

Hassoun Camara $7.1 - Montreal's defense is bad. So bad. I don't see it improving with Espindola and a healthy Eddie Johnson attacking them. The odds are not in their favor.

Erick Torres $8.6 - Torres has eight goals in ten games. He scores a goal in just about every game. He scored against FCD earlier in the year. But I don't see that happening again. Not when FCD has something to prove.
