FC Dallas Injury Update: Cross Names Off The List

Only two names appear on this week's injury report.

Oscar Pareja is slowly inching towards a healthy roster here as FC Dallas has sent out their injury report ahead of tomorrow's game with the Houston Dynamo.

Questionable: George John (right knee), Andres Escobar (lower back)

Yeah, just two. John is still a couple weeks away from being completely healthy here while Escobar is likely a week or so out from returning as well.

What about the rest?

For weeks Pareja had a slew of players including Zach Loyd, Raul Fernandez and Walker Zimmerman on the injury list. But as of today, all three are off the list and are available for selection on Saturday in Houston.

I think out of that group the most likely to see any minutes is Loyd, who came off the bench last weekend against Portland. Zimmerman may be healthy but I would imagine he still has a week or two to really be able to push Stephen Keel for a starting spot here.

Fernandez is an interesting one though, when healthy he should be the top choice in goal for FC Dallas but I still believe that right now that job is Chris Seitz's to lose. One good note to mention, Fernandez is close to getting his green card according to the FCD PR staff.

What does this all mean for Andrew Jacobson and Adam Moffat? Both exited the game early two weeks ago against Chivas USA. I talked to both players last weekend before the Portland game and each were moving around without any noticeable limping. I think at best both players will be on the bench this weekend though, as much as I would rather see one of them start over Victor Ulloa this weekend, I think getting them both healthy for the long run is more important.
