Double Dip for Span
Orlando City had a busy week in the USL PRO last week as they knocked off both the FC Dallas Reserves and Oklahoma City Energy FC. FC Dallas loanee Brian Span played in both matches, going the full 90 in the 2-1 win over Oklahoma City.
OKC brought a sellout crowd for its inaugural home opener, but goals by Dennis Chin and Kevin Molino gave the Lions a two-goal lead either side of halftime before a late consolation by Steven Perry for Oklahoma City.
Span played 68 minutes on Tuesday against FCD, helping lift the Lions to a 3-2 win.
Top and Arizona draw LAG II
Between going back and forth from Frisco to Phoenix, Jonathan Top saw plenty of minutes this past week as well. On Tuesday he was back in Frisco as he played in the Reserve League match with FC Dallas against Orlando City. On Saturday, Top was back in Arizona as he and United SC drew LA Galaxy II 1-1.
Top went 58 minutes in the match that saw the Arizona side come from behind to earn the draw against one of the top teams in the USL PRO. Paolo DelPiccolo scored his first goal of the year for Arizona.
