MLS Fantasy Manager: Week Four

FCD players face a tough test at home against Portland.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Round four is here, and there's no looking back. By now, you should have a grasp on how things work on Fantasy Manager.

FC Dallas

In week four, FCD will face a tough Portland side at home. The Hoops are at the top of the table of MLS as of right now and are flying. But, Portland hasn't started off the season particularly well and will look to prove themselves with a significant road win.

Who to start/add

Fabian Castillo $7.1 - I don't like too many matchups this week for FCD. But, I do like Castillo attacking Jack Jewsbury on the left side. With his speed and Mauro Diaz' brilliant passes, he will create a lot of problems.

Mauro Diaz $7.7 - I feel like a broken record. But, start this man. Diaz is so dangerous. If FCD will produce any goals Saturday, I'm sure he will have something to do with it. It will be interesting to see how Will Johnson handles him.

Who not to start/add

Peter Luccin $5.5 - If we're all correct, Luccin will be starting this game. How long he plays and well he plays is a different matter. Whoever he is paired up with, they will struggle against the likes of Diego Valeri and Gaston Fernandez. This is definitely a bad week for our defensive midfielders not to be at full strength.

Stephen Keel $6.0 - Keel only has four points in two games so far. He is a solid defender. But, when it comes to fantasy, he doesn't rack up the points. I expect Saturday to be a high scoring thriller. The only defender I might consider starting this week is Matt Hedges.

The fourth week of the season is ahead and teams are starting to take shape. Here are some potentially great matchups and some not so good matchups.

Who to start/add

Chris Wondolowski $9.5 - This is a great matchup for him at home against a struggling New England side. It seems Wondolowski always happens to be in the right place at the right time. I think he will show up in the right place at least once this week.

Thierry Henry $11.0 - The New York Red Bulls will face Chivas USA at home. RBNY still haven't found their groove just yet. But, Henry still looks good and will create chaos for Chivas' defense.

Clarence Goodson $8.0 - Goodson and Victor Bernardez are as good as any center back pairing in MLS. Diego Fagundez and New England haven't looked great so far. I don't expect them to turn things around against San JOse on the road. Goodson and Bernardez are both good choices this week.

Who not to start/add

Teal Bunbury $6.9 - Bunbury is a good value option to have. But, I wouldn't start him this week. New England hasn't been clicking on all sides of the ball and getting points on the road at San Jose is not easy.

Russell Teibert $8.4 - Teibert hasn't been effective so far for Vancouver. I would stay away from him. Especially with how good Houston has been playing.

Clint Irwin $4.9 - Irwin has been listed as questionable for Saturday's clash with Sporting Kansas City. I wouldn't have him on my team if I'm not going to know if he will play until the last minute. Even if he plays, it doesn't look good. With the absence of Chris Klute and Jose Mari, Colorado will be vulnerable on defense.

Bye week: Los Angeles Galaxy
