Fabian Castillo Up For Goal of the Week

New, comments

The free kick goal set up by Mauro Diaz is one of the five nominees.

Fabian Castillo is already having one strong season for FC Dallas in 2014. He's been active on the goal scoring front with two goals and has been a constant threat on his left wing post.

Now he is up for MLS Goal of the Week for week three. Mauro Diaz helped create this chance in the second half on Saturday against Chivas USA. Diaz' free kick was placed well behind the Chivas defense as Hendry Thomas took the ball and tapped it forward for the run of Castillo. The young Colombian did the rest for his second goal of the year.

FC Dallas fans should go vote for Castillo here, his competition will be pretty stiff as he goes up against a goal scored shortly after his with Chivas' striker Erick Torres. Other goals that he is up against are from LA's Robbie Keane, Columbus attacker Bernado Anor, RSL's Alvaro Saborio and Chivas' Erick Torres.

Act fast, voting ends on Thursday at 11:59 PT.
