The New Years Eve edition of the morning links.

Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

The final few hours of 2014 are here folks. As much as I enjoyed 2014, I believe it is time to get into a new year here. Lets get into the final morning links of 2014.

U-14s in Bolivia |

Once again our FCD youngsters are heading down to South America. This kind of exposure for the club is big.

// MLS //

The full 2015 calendar gets released on Jan 7 |

We'll finally know all the dates for the 2015 season next week outside of the home opener. I would imagine we'll get our usual schedule that is a little front loaded at home in the early part of the year.

Rogers wins Outsports Male Athlete of the Year |

It has been a wild 18 months for Robbie Rogers but the last eight or so months of that ride has probably been pretty damn good for him.

Issues around MLS - Western Conference edition | Stumptown Footy

The other day, our Timbers friends had a look at the Eastern Conference. Now they take a look at the Western side, and their one big question on FCD is about youth.

Arsenal's Zelalem gets US citizenship | Soccer Insider

Yesterday we heard tons of folks talk about this news. How good will Gedion Zelalem actually be for the US? Could MLS be as bold enough to get him on a loan to one of its clubs? Not matter what, I'm not boarding that bandwagon on this kid until we know he can consistently produce on the field. I guess I'm jaded by the Adus of the world.

Revs ditching the white road kits in 2015 | The Bent Musket

Woah, finally, we'll get a little color in this league with the Revs getting rid of their old white road unis. But I'm sure that just means they'll be red on the road.

Espinoza leaving Wigan, MLS move next | The Blue Testament

As much turnover as Sporting KC has had this winter, they'll be getting some of the old band back together with Roger Espinoza.

Impact close to signing Alberto Gilardino | Mount Royal Soccer

Seeing Gilardino's name is rather impressive but then when you realize he played this past year in China of all places, it makes you think that this move won't matter at all for the Impact.

Houston assistants leaving for San Jose | Dynamo Theory

It looks like the Dynamo are going to have a struggle on their hands with their assistant coaches wanting to leave town to join Dominic Kinnear in San Jose. I get that they want to keep a guy like Steve Ralston (who'll likely be a top candidate in 2016 to be a head coach somewhere), but if they're wise they let him go and work out a deal to get some allocation or draft picks in return.

That looks to be it for now, what do you folks have going on tonight for New Years Eve?
