A lot of the old news came out of the State of the League address on Tuesday.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Another day down as we inch closer to MLS Cup out in LA. We have plenty to get to here today so lets get into some links to kick things off.

Clavijo talks roster moves |

Lots of goodies in this one that may get broken down even further on this space later today and tomorrow. At the end of it all FCD opened up some cap space yesterday and gave some clues to what they are thinking of doing for 2015.

Re-watch the state of the league address |

I may also dive into this later today as well. There were some good things that came out of this like the idea of doing a "Decision Day" on the final weekend of the regular season.

Red Bulls decline options on seven players |

FCD wasn't the only ones doing some roster work on Tuesday, New York let seven go as well.

DPs highlight MLS Best XI |

This Best XI matched pretty closely to the one I submitted in my vote.

An alternative view at the MLS Best XI |

Yesterday the Best XI was announced with a 3-4-3 formation, with a couple of the midfielders being guys like Thierry Henry and Landon Donovan. I like what Matt Doyle is trying to do here with this argument though. I vote for these things each year and hate doing the Best XI because each time there is only a couple allocated spots for defender, midfielder and forward with three spots allowed for any player (no matter the position). Plus, FCD fans should be happy to think that Fabian Castillo was worthy of a nomination here.

Fire sign a 25 year old DP | Hot Time In Old Town

This one is going to either work out really well or be yet another miserable failure in the Windy City. Plus there are reports that the Fire spent like $750k to get this guy. Seems steep for a player that scored five goals in 2014.

DCU stadium funding passes first vote | Black and Red United

Inching closer and closer. If it all goes well United will be in their own digs by 2017.

Henry is so good even his enemies love him | Once a Metro

After meeting him last summer in person, I have to say he is a tough guy not to like.

What the heck is going on with Lampard and NYCFC | Top Drawer Soccer

The age old debate of valuable players in MLS on loans. I'm sure NYCFC will get their guy by the time the season rolls around in March but you have to wonder a bit why this one is going the way that it is.

NFL Vikings release new renderings for soccer stadium | Star Tribune

Just based on the image, this looks awful. Maybe that is because there are so many ugly logos on the tarps or because it is a very busy looking rendering but I really don't want the Vikings to win this expansion battle in the Twin Cities.

Alright, that is all for today. Sound off on anything that you have below.
