Less than 10 days until Christmas, are you getting anything cool this year?

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

As we wait on any news from FC Dallas this morning, lets dive into some headlines to start the day.

Save the date for Cocktails and Cleats |

This is becoming a pretty big annual event for the club. The date next year is March 5, which pretty much tells you all you need to know about the season starting on March 7.

Footy 5k and fun run |

FCD didn't stop there yesterday with their announcements, they also let us know about a new 5k that they're hosting at the stadium next year.

Lagerway leaving RSL for...Seattle? |

Taylor Twellman dropped this bomb on us all yesterday evening. Seriously, the rich get richer here. I keep saying it but expect a decline in RSL next year no matter what happens here.

Revs defender Soares heading to Italy | The Bent Musket

This is a pretty big one as AJ Soares isn't a national team guy by any stretch. Good for him.

Robinho links to New England (again) | The Bent Musket

It seems like the Kraft family is actually willing to spend on their soccer team again now that they are doing well.

Red Bulls want to bring in Steven Gerrard |

I'm going to file this under the "its not gonna happen" folder. But it would be pretty dang cool to see Mr. Liverpool in MLS.

Orlando signs new DP, Honduran Bryan Rochez | The Mane Land

The Lions keep adding quality parts. If they can actually land Brek Shea with Rochez, they'll have a pretty solid attack.

Dom Dywer and Sydney Leroux are dating...and why it is important | Stars and Stripes FC

I still think Zach Loyd and his wife are the more soccer power couple around but that may just be me.

Best stories of 2014 |

The league's website is doing their end of the year stuff. How much do you want to bet Landon Donovan is the top story, in some capacity. We will do some FCD-related best of 2014 at some point before the New Year.

Alright, that is all that I have for now. What is on your mind this morning?
