Kellyn Acosta earns call up for US U-20 national team camp

The Dallas homegrown is one of seven MLS players called up.

FC Dallas Homegrown defender Kellyn Acosta has been called up by the United States U-20 national team coach Tab Ramos on Friday for a three-game swing at the 2014 International National Teams Football Tournament in Marbella, Spain.

The US will open their trip with a game against their Russian counterparts on Nov. 12, followed by the Republic of Ireland on Nov. 15 and Canada on Nov. 18.

This will also be the second-to-last international trip of the year for Ramos and his charges, as they will also hold a mid-December camp in Jamaica, also the site of the 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship, set to take place Jan. 9-24.
