The weekend is here as MLS playoffs return to action.

After a long week, we can finally see the daylight of the weekend upon us. Lets get into some morning links so we can kick this weekend into high gear.

Clavijo sees center back and midfield as FCD's biggest needs | Dallas Morning News

Some very interesting quotes from the FCD technical director in this one. The whole George John debate continues in some ways as it really sounds like the club will be moving on from him this winter.

FCD certainly has options at keeper |

No team in MLS has three starters available at keeper, and really no team should.

The Mental Game, Donovan's other legacy |

Articles like this makes me wish I had some more with my minor in Sports Psychology.

Why Wright-Phillips is more valuable than Nyguen |

I feel like with Thierry Henry likely leaving New York, this discussion is a year too early. At the end of the day, it is a pretty decent argument though.

Henry won't commit to playing on turf |

Speaking of Henry, he still hasn't come out to say whether or not he will play in leg two of the Eastern Conference finals on New England's ugly carpet. Still crazy to think that in five years he has never played on the road in New England.

After a break, Galaxy and Sounders are ready |

I honestly don't know who to root for in this one. There are going to be good matchups either way in the MLS Cup but I guess I have to lean towards LA with Donovan's last ride. I guess.

Folks from Sin City made their pitch yesterday in New York.

Two Minnesota groups make their presentation to MLS | Star Tribune

I'm really pulling for the NASL side rather than the NFL side in this one.

Sacramento makes their plea as well | Sacramento Bee

Sacramento also sent TV crews and reporters to New York to cover this meeting. No timeline was set but I would imagine around MLS Cup we'll hear more details of this meeting.

No San Antonio in MLS expansion meetings | Empire of Soccer

I know a lot of San Antonio folks were upset by this week's meeting that they weren't included in but give their owners a break. They just had a title game in their stadium last weekend. I'm sure once the dust settles there, they will get their chance as well.

Alright, that is all that I have. I know it was expansion heavy at the end so lets talk about that - who do you want in the league? Also, would you take all four (along with the ones already planned to join the league)? Lets discuss that and anything else on your mind.
