A FIFA weekend could cause issues on the playoff path for FC Dallas.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Just when you think FC Dallas might catch a little bit of a break going into this weekend's match with the LA Galaxy, news comes out that they will be without a couple players for international duty.

Raul Fernandez, Blas Perez and Je-Vaughn Watson could be all unavailable this weekend as they have been called up by their respective national teams for games this weekend.

Watson and Jamaica play Japan on Friday while Perez will join Panama for a match with Mexico on Sunday.

Peru has two games coming up with Chile and Guatemala. We are still waiting on confirmation as to whether or not Fernandez will be joining his national team as well.

Thankfully for Dallas the club is getting a bit healthier at this time so losing Fernandez and Watson may not be as tough to overcome as Perez.

The Galaxy will also be without a slew of key players this weekend as well when they travel to Frisco. Robbie Keane has been called up by Ireland for important Euro matches with Gibraltar and Germany. Omar Gonzalez and Landon Donvoan will be with the United States national team (though Donovan will only play in Friday's game against Ecuador) and lastly, Oscar Sorto has been called up by the US U-23 national team.
