After 34 games, the playoff field is set in the Western Conference. The Seattle Sounders locked up the top spot on Saturday with their Supporters' Shield win over the LA Galaxy. With the loss to the Portland Timbers, FC Dallas stayed in fourth place behind Real Salt Lake.

It all came down to the Vancouver Whitecaps in their game against the Colorado Rapids. Thanks to a late goal by Kendal Waston, the Caps went back above the red line and clinched a playoff berth.

FC Dallas will now how the Whitecaps on Wednesday night in Toyota Stadium at 8pm CT.

The winner will face the Supporters' Shield-champion Seattle Sounders in the Conference Semifinals. Dallas or Vancouver would host the first leg of that series on the weekend of 11/1-2, with the second leg set for Nov. 10 in Seattle.

On the other side of the bracket in the West, the LA Galaxy will face off against Real Salt Lake. RSL will host the first leg of that encounter on the weekend of 11/1-2 before traveling to Southern California for the second leg on Nov. 9.
